Told as a film within the film, the story concerns an aging actress. Ewa is a flamboyant, pushy actress whose career and love life have come to a dead end. She lives in a faceless housing development. She is totally engrossed in herself and dreams of making a comeback as a singer. But her overbearing personality time after time sets her into conflict with those she tries to work with in the theater and her bedroom.

The original comedy, set in the world of independent Italian cinema, features a director, frustrated and a fool, who is behind the mirage of making the film of his life to avoid taking responsibility both as a professional and as a man. In fact, the failed thirty nine year old still lives with his mother, attends every evening one or more different women bringing them home, steals the money from his father's pension and continuously asks "on loan" to friends and sister money that has no intention to return . He opened an acting school promising everyone a role in his next film, aware that he probably will not realize it at all, with the only real intent to beat cash and receive the sexual favors of female students. Yet, despite being a squalid, abusive and inept person who does nothing concrete to try to realize his goal, he sees the artistic potential of one of his talented student and begins to fantasize great. And the dream forcefully pushes.

A young investigator fresh from the university gets assigned an arson case. 18-year-old Epp-Kai has admitted to the crime but he cannot see the girl's motive. His partner, an experienced investigator, already has enough work and doesn't think it's necessary to have further conversations with the accused. The young investigator senses however that Epp-Kai is hiding something.

An aspiring journalist travels to his hometown after receiving a letter from a respected teacher who claims that she has been forced to retire from her job.

The youth construction team celebrated Anatoly and Varya's wedding with fun. Without giving importance to the first quarrel, Varya, however, once admitted to herself that she did not understand Anatoly's aspirations for a cozy furnished life.
